Being a woman is probably one of the best gifts my mom has ever given me and theres not a day that passes by that I wish I was something else! Im proud of the woman Im becoming and I have to thank all the women that have thought me and set an example to me! This is the day to celebrate who we are, but also the people who have helped us become it!
First of all I want to thank all the women that fought and are still fighting to give us the equality we deserve, in every aspect it might be! Although we take for granted a lot of things that we have, women have come a long way and we should never forgive those who made it happen!
Second but not less important (at least not for me) I want to thank and celebrate the women in my life, people who might have nothing, but would give the world to me! My Mom whos the worlds greatest and fiercest mom, who has made her life mission to make us happy and healthy, even when the circumstances where not the best, with 4 children to take care on her own, she made possible for us to have a good life and even on the darkest of times, she never left us! I admire her in a way I will never be able to put into words! My Grandmas who took care of me and thought me so much more than they think they did, all the stories, all the days in the kitchen preparing meals, all the lessons, they are all one of my most treasured moments! My Sisters who are my best friends, the people who I turn to whenever I need a word of advice, or just to speak! They are unique! And of course My Nieces who make me want to be a better person every day! Who made me understand a whole new way of love and affection. They are just amazing!!
Last but not least, I want to thank the man in my life! The ones that believe in me and that I can do anything, despite my gender! My Grandpa who has been like a father to me! He always encouraged me to be the best I can be and I just cant express how important it is to me. My Brother, who although I fight with a lot, has been a constant in my life and who gave me a lot of good advice when I needed them. And My Boyfriend, whos the best person I have ever met and the love of my life, hes the person who encourages me to pursue my dreams, no matter how crazy they are and never leaves my side if it all goes to hell!
I could talk for hours about how important every single one of this people and many more that have contributed to the person I am and to the Woman I became, but all I really want to is to thank them! Thank them for being here and for being such a good example for me!
